Job Description

In this role you will become part of a team challenged to safely and efficiently deliver essential raw materials, finishing supplies and recycling/waste receptacles to production machines. You will work to maximize team performance and results (such as Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost) through identifying and implementing solutions and process improvements.

Material Handlers at NCSF:

* Safely and efficiently operate all necessary equipment, systems and processes

* Maintain accurate raw material records

* Monitor, retrieve, transport, and store raw materials, finishing supplies, finished product, and recycling/waste

* Perform inventory system updates

* Perform short-term and long-term process improvements

* Grow and develop skills for eventual placement as Machine Operator when vacancies become available



* High School diploma or equivalent GED.

* Ability to maintain a work schedule of 12-hour shifts that rotate between nights and days, and include every other weekend.

* Basic Computer Skills (Microsoft Office and Internet)

* Ability to lift up to 55 pounds, spend a significant amount of time on feet and have the ability to sit, kneel, crouch, crawl and work at heights periodically.

* Strong communication, leadership skills, and demonstrated ability to take initiative while working effectively in a fast-paced team environment

* Position requires learning to drive industrial tractors/forklift/clamp


* Previous or current experience with industrial tractors or forklift operations.

* Material Handling/warehouse, converting manufacturing skills or related experience.

* Demonstrated mechanical ability, including troubleshooting, problem identification, idea generation and resolution.
