SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Category Management Director providing organization and category leadership across all Business Units (BU's) and US-based Customers. Team consists of 12 direct reports including 8 Field Based Team Leaders. Position is located in Neenah, WI.

The Category Management Director-US leads a team of category professionals to translate category management principles into action through strong data analytics and consumer/shopper insights. This person is an accomplished CPG leader with a proven ability to build and execute a strategic category vision through market execution. An exceptional communicator and thought leader, the Director will develop senior level relationships at key Customers. The Director will also be responsible for guiding and developing a team of talented Headquarters and Field-based Category Managers and driving leading edge capability and insight solutions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

* Develop and maintain trusted senior level relationships at key Customers by aligning on common goals and bringing actionable solutions.

* Lead team in driving Category Leadership at K-C:

* Leads the development of a strategic roadmap that drives sustainable Category & K-C growth and fuels strong Customer Partnerships.

* Lead the development of category growth drivers which can be translated into executable DPSM solutions across Channels.

* Builds internal capabilities to influence Brand go-to-market solutions.

* Builds strategic and influential relationships with customers and within K-C, that fuel activation of K-C Category Leadership.

* Leverage measurement practices and new insights to engage Customers with category growth opportunities, innovation and in-market testing.

* Elevate K-C capabilities by identifying and implementing leading edge tools, capabilities and e-Commerce solutions.

* Coach and support team in prioritizing projects and developing fact-based, actionable recommendations.

* Recruit, inspire and develop best-in-class talent.

* Ability to clearly and precisely communicate orally and in writing to individuals and groups

* Ability to communicate precise innovative consumer and business solutions to customers and team leaders/members.

* Ability to proficiently perform strategic business and data analyses with financial acumen and data driven recommendations for improvements and advancements.

* Ability to travel via aircrafts, and operate and drive motor vehicles for business travel, with valid driver license.

Education required: MBA preferred. Minimum of Bachelor's degree.

EXPERIENCE:

* 10 years of CPG and 5 years of Category Management and/or Shopper insights experience

* Minimum of 3 years of experience leading a Category Management team

* Proven record of building senior level partnerships

* Knowledge of Category and Space Management processes and fundamental category management practices

* Understanding and application of analytical/insight tools such as Nielsen Scan and Household Panel, Space Management software, Business Intelligence tools (ie., Tableau) and application of shopper research
