Manages and implements the Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Program and the Domestic Abuse/Violence Prevention Program. Serves as principal advisor to the Adjutant General (TAG) with responsibility for understanding and implementing Department of Defense (DoD), Army, Air Force, National Guard Bureau (NGB), Army National Guard (ARNG) and ANG policies and guidance. Provides and informs the victim about available reporting options and benefits and/or limitations. Inputs and updates the Defense Sexual Assault Incident Database (DSAID). Manages the overall sexual assault reporting process and documentation for the state populations of ARNG and in coordination with the ANG SARC. Conducts, facilitates, and/or coordinates sexual assault prevention training for new hires, supervisors, and all members of the state National Guard. Serves as the state representative to the Regional SAPR Advisory Committee (SAPRAC) to include attendance at related training courses, conferences, and meetings. JFHQ/SARCs must maintain accurate accountability of all SAPR/SHARP funds (0100, 2060, 2065). Performs other duties as assigned.

* Must possess a valid state driver?s license to operate government motor vehicles, for the state in which they live ?or? are principally employed, in accordance with Army and Air Force Vehicle Operations Directives.

* Within 60 days of appointment to a Position of Trust and Moderate Risk, the employee must have a favorable completion and awarding of a Tier III background investigation, etc.


GENERAL EXPERIENCE: All on-board NG Title 5 Excepted Service employees assigned to Title 5 Excepted Service SAPR Program, must be certified at the next higher grade-level before considered as eligible for merit promotions to Series GS-0301 SAPR Program positions; and, must have a minimum of one year on-the-job experience in the grade immediately below the next higher level. However, a new hire (to include an on-board Title 32 or a Title 5 Competitive Service applicant) must have competent experiences that are commensurate or equivalent to SAPR Program business, with demonstrated understandings of the principles and concepts defined by a practical knowledge of family programs, military community services, victim advocacy and/or associated functional areas.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: To qualify for the GS-12 SARC position, must have at least 12 months military and/or civilian specialized working experiences, education, or training that resulted in competent and expert knowledge of the SAPR program's principles and practices.


If you are using Education to qualify for this position, the following criteria applies: In general, qualified SARC applicants must have completed specific college course work that meets the requirements for a degree in a particular field, such as psychology, social sciences, human resources, or education; and, must have at least 24 semester hours of completed college course work in the social sciences.

SUBSTITUTIONS: Equivalent combinations of civilian and military education; and, voluntary or employed SAPR specialized experiences are qualifying substitutions.

You must provide transcripts or other documentation to support your Educational claims. To receive credit for Education, you must provide documentation of proof that you meet the Education requirements for this position.
