This critically important role is responsible for leadership of an Omnicare Pharmacy. This role will report to a General Manager, OCR Nashville and will develop and implement strategies to improve operational excellence and superior customer service within the assigned pharmacy.

The Pharmacist in Charge position is responsible for ensuring operational compliance and excellence through the delivery of the right drug, to the right place, at the right time.

Key Responsibilities:

* Responsible for the practice of pharmacy at the pharmacy for which he/she is the PIC. The PIC must be physically present in the pharmacy a sufficient amount of time to provide supervision and control.

* Notifies the pharmacy permit holder of potential violations of any statute, rule or court order existing within the pharmacy.

* Monitor industry, regulatory and compliance industry, regulatory and compliance developments (e.g., state Board of Pharmacy, DEA, FDA, etc.) for pending regulatory changes and partner with Division Compliance Officer and pharmacy management to address them.

* Communicates and educates staff on pharmacy-related issues including, but not limited to, regulatory changes/compliance, FDA drug recalls, drug information, sample medications, and investigational studies.

Preferred Qualifications

* Previous Pharmacist in Charge experience in a retail or LTC pharmacy environment.

* Demonstrated ability to diagnose operational challenges and deliver solutions in real time.

* Demonstrated ability to hold teams accountable in a fair, supportive and equitable manner.

* Demonstrated ability driving operational improvements and related metrics

* Track record of proactively tackling issues in a timely and decisive manner, while keeping broader organizational dynamics in mind.

* Demonstrated abilities to perform under pressure, adapt to changing dynamics, and find solutions that satisfy multiple customers of the business.

* Track record of building high performing teams and developing key talent.

* Demonstrated track record of leading using CVS Health Leadership Competencies

Required Qualifications

* Operations management experience, including responsibility for managing workflow, resources, quality and compliance.

* A licensed Pharmacist in the State of Tennessee and in good standing.

* Ability to become a licensed Pharmacist in multiple States as needed.
