Logistics Account Representative

The Logistics Account Representative is responsible for executing freight and delivering a best-in-class customer experience for key accounts. They develop deep customer relationships and actively advise clients on strategies or new offerings to generate profitable growth. As a subject-matter expert on the daily operations and needs of assigned accounts, they source, price, and execute all freight opportunities for those accounts.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

  • Develop and maintain strong customer and carrier relationships.
  • Be knowledgeable of all current service offerings and be able to communicate them to existing customers.
  • Participate in bid opportunities, both tactical and strategic (RFP process).
  • Negotiate pricing with both customers and carriers to generate profitable business opportunities.
  • Execute all daily freight opportunities for assigned accounts or territories.
  • Utilize market intelligence tools to advise clients and meet their daily transportation needs.
  • Coordinate, schedule, and execute shipments in Transportation Management System.
  • Track and trace shipments to ensure on-time pickup and delivery.
  • Proactively communicate and solve service issues to internal and external stakeholders.

Nashville Freight Brokerage

Education: Associate's Degree (2-year college or technical school): Required,

Bachelor's Degree (4-year college or technical school) Preferred; Field of Study: Transportation, Logistics, Business

Experience: 1-3 years of experience in Customer Service, 3PL Sales, Operations, Account Management, or related field

Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
