The Quality Technician at CPI is responsible for the auditing, inspection and testing functions through-out the value stream. In addition, the Q.T. is charged with following up on any process and/or product non-conformity to assure they are brought to an effective solution while assisting with troubleshooting and supporting operations as required. The schedule is 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM Monday through Friday. The pay rate is DOE with a $0.50c shift difference.

Major Responsibilities:

Read and interpret shop floor documentation and applicable specifications.

Complete process audits regarding key process variables per requirements.

Select products for testing at specified stages in production process, and tests products for required Critical to Quality (CTQ) characteristics.

Observe, report, and document quality data information on checklists, within emails and CPI's data management system.

Initiate quality hold and non-conformances based on inspection results.

Participate in continuous improvement teams and projects.

Assure proper completion of re-run and re-work activities.

Assist with problem-solving and troubleshooting activities.

Adhere to all requirements of the CPI Quality Management System.


At least 6 months previous Quality experience.

Ability to make decisions regarding process compliance and specified product requirements.

Ability to comprehend written and verbal instructions including writing reports.

Effective presentation in individual and small group settings.

Proficiency in high school level math including measurements, computing ratios, and percentages.

Possess keen eyesight, eye/hand coordination, and ability to distinguish colors.

Work may require weekends to meet deadlines.
