Engineering Group Leader

Ecolab is recruiting for an Engineering Group Leader or Sr. Group Leader position located in Naperville Ill, reporting to Global Sensor and Equipment leadership in Eagan MN.

This position supports all business units of a globally diversified technology/service company, creating a dynamic, challenging, and varied work environment. This position requires strong leadership skills, the ability to communicate and interact with technical and leadership associates across multiple levels of the organization, the ability to coordinate and collaborate with remote resources and teams, and strong managerial skills to lead highly technical associates.

What You Will Do:

* Collaborate with project leaders and teams to define requirements for new product offerings

* Coordinate with technical associates located in Naperville Ill., Eagan MN, and other global locations to develop new equipment and sensor solutions that align with business needs.

* Serve as a liaison between Ecolab RD&E in Naperville and Equipment and Sensor leadership in Eagan MN on project and resource needs.

* Coordinate and communicate issues, concerns, and progress on projects and technical developments to assure consistent alignment between stakeholders and Sr. RD&E management.

* Lead equipment and sensor technical associates located in Naperville Ill. This includes managing priorities and work load, coordinating and planning direction on technical developments in conformance to internal processes and procedures, associate development, skills and performance assessments, and talent acquisition.

* Participate in technical road map planning of sensor and control technologies in alignment with business unit strategies and needs.

Minimum Requirements:

* Bachelor of Science Degree in electrical, sensor, digital engineering or a related technical field.

* 8+ years of experience actively developing electromechanical systems or sensor technologies leading to commercialized products.

* Individual and team leadership experience in a product development environment.

* Experience analyzing and using incomplete information to advance technical solutions and projects.

* Experience providing effective leadership and work direction to individuals and technical teams, locally and remotely.

* Experience mentoring and coaching direct reports.

* Experience working with cross-functional business leaders and key project stakeholders.

* Experience in effectively building rapport and relationships across many functions within an organization.

Preferred Requirements:

* Master's Degree

* Ability to develop strategic plans and initiatives.

* Demonstrated ability to drive initiatives, negotiate approaches and deliverables, and achieve outcomes.

* Demonstrated ability to apply expertise to programs and initiatives that incorporate significant breadth.
