Lead Radiology Support

Job Summary:Works under the direction of the Director of Radiology. He/She consistently anticipates and meets the needs of the patients. Supports compassionate and personalized patient-centered care in an environment that focuses on healing body, mind and spirit. Mentors and coaches staff in implementing and sustaining patient-centered care culture, processes, and clinical practices that create high customer engagement. Follows established guidelines to receive and answer patient questions, comments or complaints. Obtains patient demographic, insurance and guarantor information required to schedule and/or register patients into RIS/PACS to ensure that complete and accurate accounts are produced. Provides clerical support for Radiology/Imaging Department. Is the dedicated Cerner RadNet Superuser for the department. Job Specifications:Required Knowledge and Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills in dealing with patients, physicians and co-workers. Ability to communicate effectively with patients, staff, and physicians. Ability to utilize all radiology-related computer programs (PACS/RIS) and proficiently use word processing software. Education and Experience: High School Diploma required, Bachelor Degree preferred. Exposure to medical terminology preferred. Five years previous medical/clerical experience required. Licensure, Certification, or Registration: Basic Life Support certification required.
