Senior Systems Integration Engineer

Job Description

Design and program real time and batch interfaces, using the hospital's interface engine product. Demonstrate technical competence in system integration, with solid skills in interface programming as well as basic interface program design. Recommend and implement optimum methodologies for file transfers between internal and external sources. In addition to interface development, this position includes the installation and support of interface engine software and other application software, as well as the configuration and maintenance of Microsoft SQL and other database environments. Work with Clinical Analysts, Business Analysts and Integration Analysts to determine interface design and testing requirements.

Demonstrates required knowledge, skills and abilities:

Knowledge of HL7 standard with demonstrated ability.

Knowledge of interface engine tool sets.

Knowledge of the Health Care industry.

Knowledge of expected test results.

Knowledge of operating environment.

Knowledge of application system flow.

Having OR willing to get certification on Epic Bridges

Qualification:

BA or BS degree with course work or equivalent experience in software development, information technology and the HL7 standard.
Minimum of 4 years' experience in interface development and computer application support in a health care environment.
Strong communication skills, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Attend training in Epic Bridges and other classes as needed for the specific role.

Complete certification projects and exams within six weeks of taking required Epic training.
