Principal, Intuit Transformation Office

The Principal Strategic Transformation will be part of a small group of leaders reporting to the Chief Transformation Officer, who is a member of the CEO staff. Principals team up directly with business stakeholders and executives who are responsible for the implementation of one or more workstreams or initiatives within the context of Intuit’s company-wide reinvention efforts. They act as thought partners to business stakeholders creating the environment for transparency, rigor and speed in the design and implementation of the changes we want to drive as a company. As coaches they help build the reinvention capability within the Strategic Transformation Team and the broader organization. Specific responsibilities include Scope and influence engage with key stakeholders across multiple workstreams and initiatives to help shape the scope and timeline for their work Active prioritization Consistently make strategic trade-offs for the program among the multiple competing activities grounded in a deep understanding of the business objectives we are trying to achieve Thought partnership Collaborate with business leaders to help recommend solutions and corresponding action plans for the business problems their workstreams are responsible for Analytical support Guide and provide focused quantitative or qualitative analytical and research support for workstreams to help build the fact base in support of the recommendations. Direct work of more junior team members. Risk management Anticipate, identify and manage key risks. Propose appropriate mitigation strategies. Identify cross-functional dependencies and ensure that stakeholders who need to collaborate are connected. Escalate issues as needed and facilitate removal of roadblocks Planning and tracking Help develop work plans in partnership with business stakeholders and establish/maintain program-wide infrastructure to drive transparency and rigor in execution. Manage program-level operating mechanisms. Coaching and capability building Act as coach to Intuit leaders and more junior team members on best practices for successful transformation/reinvention efforts Qualifications We are looking for an individual who can establish rapport, credibility, trust, and respect throughout the organization, and is viewed as a team player. As the team is viewed as a source of future business leaders within Intuit, the individual must have exceptional leadership skills and potential. Specific Qualifications To be successful in this role, the candidate must have the following Possess a MBA, PhD or MSc in a STEM field from a top-tier institution with a track record of strong academic performance 4+ years of work experience in roles that were driving significant change and impact across an organization. Examples include experience in a top tier consulting firm working on large-scale transformation programs, being part of a transformation team in a technology company, helping improve efficiency or effectiveness in a business function of a technology company. Ability to both lead and support is important. Individual should be willing to “go the extra mile” for the internal client and his/her team Strong process and project management skills Passion for excellence and the desire to have a significant impact on the business Strong communications (written/verbal), presentation and facilitation skills Well-rounded inter-personal skill set with the capacity to build strong senior relationships Highly self-motivated and willing to proactively take on issues within project teams and the company at large Excellent quantitative analytical skills, creativity in problem solving, and a keen business sense
