Be a combination of a highly technical software engineering leader and an effective people manager. Collaborate with business unit and functional groups across Intuit and operate/lead in a highly collaborative mission team based culture. Develops and drives strategy to hire, develop and mobilize talent for the organization Sets clear objectives and goals for the team and enables the team to deliver and using operating mechanisms to continually assess progress and improve Recruit, inspire, and develop team members. Owning the complete software development lifecycle; defining, prioritizing, designing, and leading implementation and testing of new features Take an active role in developing the strategic direction, systems roadmap, and business and operational processes for the platform Partner with business and technology teams to prioritize roadmaps, requirements, balancing business need with financial and technology constraints Interact with senior technical and functional leaders to lead change though business processes and technologies Deliver high scale platforms for company’s flagship products Qualifications Passion for being at the leading edge of technology with a minimum of 12-14+ years of hands-on software development experience in Java, J2EE, web services, web development expertise using JavaScript, preferably including React and Mobile development using Android and iOS technologies 5+ years of experience as an established technical leader of software engineering teams, that have successfully delivered customer-driven software products. BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent Serious geek street cred if you have a robust portfolio on GitHub and/or Open Source contributions of which you are proud to share! Proven success in building, motivating and retaining teams of star players Encourage a data-driven culture to improve the efficiency, scalability, stability and security of business applications Should be able to articulate product vision and drive future roadmap. Hold your own in technical discussions, be a subject matter expert, and have strategic influence. Strong decision maker and driver. Effective verbal and written communication skills and methods; with multiple levels of internal stakeholders. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively across teams, functional groups and divisions. A highly technical and result-oriented leader experienced in determining goals and matching those with customer requirements and product roadmaps. Adept at leading positive change, empowering people, cultivating product technology visions and innovative solutions, and fostering effective engineering teams. Strong business acumen.
