As the Performance Improvement Specialist, you will work in the Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement department in Mt. Holly, Burlington County, NJ.


Under the direct supervision of the Chief of Quality and Health Integration, the Performance Improvement Specialist will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

* At both an organizational and program level, working with managers to establish key performance indicators, performance targets, and dashboards for performance monitoring using nationally recognized measures, benchmarks and tools whenever possible

* Helping programs understand how to run reports, interpret data, make conclusions, and shape work.

* Analyzing and trending organizational data to identify system-wide and program-specific opportunities for improvement in a variety of areas; and using data to drive performance improvement efforts.

* Working with managers to evaluate the effectiveness of improvement initiatives

* Working with program leadership and MIS department to determine the best means of collecting and data and creating reports; and ensuring that the organization is able to report on key outcome measures required by a funder or grant (e.g. SAMHSA CCBHC, CABHI grants

* Working with programs and MIS to define clinical pathways and related clinical decision support tools, which will promote the best outcomes.

* Contributing to evaluation requirements of SAMHSA, the state or other funders, including CCBHC, Behavioral Health Home and CABHI.

* Preparing reports on performance improvement according to CARF standards.

* Contributing to the Annual Appraisal of the QA plan;

* Serving on agency committees that are supported by the Quality Department.

* Bachelor's Degree in Behavioral Health/Healthcare field; Master's Degree preferred

* Minimum three (3) years of relevant experience in a behavioral health or healthcare position, involving outcome measurement and working with teams to use data to drive performance improvement

* Knowledge of behavioral health services and implementation of evidence based approaches

* Knowedge of data collection, data analysis methodology, and performance improvement methods, with a record of leading successful improvement projects

* Occaisional travel to various locations within the field
