. Previous experience in a geriatric role preferred, but not necessary

Working in a dedicated team environment, you will have the opportunity to care for others while enhancing your clinical skills. You will learn to assist residents with activities of daily living, assist nursing staff with clinical tasks such as non-prescriptive treatments and procedures. You will learn about effective documentation and how to navigate an electronic medical record. Attention to detail, accuracy and open communication are all essential to successful outcomes and team performance. Our Certified Nursing Assistant class will teach you these skill plus so much more, ensuring you are confident and comfortable in treating our family known as our residents.
Under the supervision of the nurse, you assist with everyday living, as well as specific tasks such as recording vital signs and weights, applying non-prescription creams/ointments, and collecting specimens. You are vigilant about reporting any changes in the condition of residents to the supervising nurse to ensure that all medical needs are properly met. Your attention to detail and accuracy help ensure the highest quality of care. As required, you keep accurate records for each resident you work with. With patience and a calm demeanor, you treat those you care for just the way you would want your own family members treated. You go home each day feeling good about the positive impact you have made in the lives of so many in your community.
- Complete a Federal Background Check, Drug Test, and Physical (offer is contingent on results)
- Ability to frequently lift, move, pull, push, carry a minimum of 25 pounds
