JOB SUMMARY: Leads sales activities of the organization, performing the following duties
personally and/or through direct reports.
JOB DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
? Develops and implements strategic sales plans to accommodate corporate goals.
? Directs sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly.
? Reviews/coaches market analyses determining customer needs, pricing, and discount rates.
? Responsible for staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales
? Directs development activity and coordinates sales distribution by establishing sales
territories, quotas, and goals.
? Advises TMs, BDMs, dealers, distributors, and clients concerning sales & advertising techniques.
? Assigns sales territory to sales representatives, coaching them in their activities and results.
? Analyzes sales statistics to formulate policy and assist dealers in promoting sales.
? Directs product simplification and standardization to eliminate unprofitable items from sales line.
? Represents company at trade association meetings to promote product.
? Delivers sales presentations to key clients in coordination with sales representatives.
? Meets with key clients, assisting sales representative with maintaining relationships and
negotiating and closing deals.
? Coordinates liaison between sales department and other sales related units.
? Analyzes and controls expenditures of division to conform to budgetary requirements.
? Assists other departments to prepare sales/technical publications and prepares sales presentations .
? Prepares periodic sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed
client base expansion.
? Participates in the management of accounts receivables.
? Monitors and evaluates the activities and products of the competition.
? Four Year College Degree preferred or equivalent of education and experience
? At least Four years of successful sales management experience – meeting/exceeding goals
? Ability to analyze and interpret financial reports and other relevant company and industry data
as needed to plan, solve problems and achieve objectives
? Effective writing and oral communication skills
? Demonstrated support of company values and mission statement
? Willingness to take on responsibilities and challenges and to lead and direct
? Excellent organizational skills
? Computer skills require Microsoft Office
? Must be able to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing as well as
ideas presented verbally
? Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the sales team.
