Requirements for Applying

This position requires NCLB Compliance (Applicants must submit a copy of an AA degree or higher, transcripts showing at least 48 units OR a copy of a certificate indicating you have met the NCLB requirements.) Brief Description of Position: Assist certificated teacher in reinforcing instruction to individual or small groups of students with moderate to severe special educational needs. Example of duties may include supporting students in comprehending and completing assignments, monitor and control student behavior per approved procedures, assist students with performing and developing proper social behavior, personal hygiene and self-care skills, assist students with eating activities, toilet students and change diapers and soiled clothing as assigned by position. Work Schedule: Candidates work 7 hours daily with the exception of early release day; hours reduce to 5.5. Salary & Benefits: Placement on salary range 29 for Paraprofessional employees is dependent on verified prior experience. Candidate has the option of selecting a medical, dental, and/or vision plan or opting out. Benefits are available on the first of the following month of hire. The following documents are requested when applying. NCLB and Proof of HS Graduation are required documents that must be submitted if position is offered:

  • Letter of Introduction
  • Letter(s) of Recommendation (3 recent letters, dated within the past 2 years.)
  • NCLB Compliance (Verification of Associate's Degree, OR transcripts showing completion of 48 semester units, OR copy of NCLB compliancy certificate.)
  • Proof of HS Graduation (Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent, transcripts or college degree)
