Here are the minimum qualifications and essential functions for this position:

* Minimum of a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Chemistry or similar science discipline and 0-2 years of experience. However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.

* Must possess knowledge of Standard Operating Procedures, Mylan Laboratory Procedures, USP regulations, Product Testing Procedures, cGMP, OSHA regulations/procedures for disposal of organic waste, and procedures for the safe handling of chemicals.

* Must possess good communication, writing, reading, comprehension, organizational, and computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word. Must be accurate, detail oriented, possess the ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced, high output environment.

* Ability to read and interpret general business documents.Ability to write routine reports and general business correspondence.

* Ability to work with peers and communicate basic concepts.

* Ability to solve practical problems through standardized solutions that require limited judgment.

* Ability to follow prescribed and detailed procedures to solve routine problems.

* Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.

* Must be willing to work any shift.

* Intermittently sitting, standing, stooping. Moderate lifting or carrying 25-50 pounds. Climbing ladders or scaffolds. Typically standing and/or walking.

* Must be able to distinguish colors.

* May be required to stand; walk; stoop; bend; kneel; and climb steps.

* May require use of hands and use of arms.

* May be required to wear personal protective equipment including but not limited to: respiratory protection, safety glasses, hearing protection, safety shoes and protective clothing.

* Medium lifting requirements.

* Normal laboratory and manufacturing situation.

* Regular exposure to chemicals, solvents, fumes and/or gases.

* Works alone or closely with others.

* Requires extensive safety training and/or protective devices.

* Works with limited ventilation or with regular exposure to odors.

* High dust environment.

* Proficiency in speaking, comprehending, reading and writing English is preferred.
