Primary Purpose and Essential Functions: Provide creative solutions to exceed customer expectations. Assign loads based on customer requirements, driver availability and maximum profitability for assigned region.

  1. Review markets, check over/under capacity and check freight needs with Customer Accounts daily.
  2. Determine balance, capacity, and demand of loads and trucks and assign loads to trucks.
  3. Identify and provide trailer solutions for drivers with minimum deadhead.
  4. Ensure deadhead trips are kept to a minimum by proactively working with other LOB's and/or Customer Accounts.
  5. Continually increase understanding of assigned market and customers and share findings with sales and/or customer account employees.
  6. Provide drivers with complete load details.
  7. Actively review reports, identify waste opportunities and collaborate with sales and/or customer accounts to develop optimal solutions.
  8. Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner which facilitates the success of business operations in order to meet company demands and expectations and perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
  9. Proactively work to assist others in achieving the organization's objectives.
  1. Skills: Must be able to work in high pressure and dynamic environment. Must possess exceptional problem solving skills. Must be able to persuade and influence others.
  2. Education: Associates degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience required.
  3. Experience Required: 2+ years' in Operations and/or Planning and/or Customer Accounts required.
