Merchandising Specialist

The primary purpose of this role is to assist the Merchandising Manager and Merchandising Director in making product decisions, including but not limited to determining stocks and non-stocks of categories, product retails, and store sets (planograms, graphics, fixtures) for assigned Omni-channel categories. This includes responsibility for assisting with product cost, payment terms, and promotional support negotiations, as well as managing the product data integrity that directly influences key performance metrics. In addition, this role acts as the primary point of contact for the supplier, store, and internal communities.


* Maintains product data integrity within Lowe's designated software systems (i.e. store product authorization, product assignment, product costs, product specifications, vendor agreement) to ensure that all product costs, product specifications, and vendor agreements are accurate

* Reviews all pricing and invoicing discrepancies to determine where issues occurred, how to resolve them, and the cost for resolution

* Maintains a working knowledge of all Lowe's policies and procedures as well as industry standards and compliance needs for assigned product areas (i.e. MAPP Pricing, Energy Star, BPA) to ensure Lowe's is not at significant risk

* Ensures the timely collection and implementation of Annual Vendor Buying Agreements, sends out necessary documentation, collects and reviews the documentation, and ensures vendors are correctly set up with accounting

* Assists with the onboarding of vendors, serving as the vendor's first point of contact for any set-up related questions and coordinates internally with various functions (Legal, Accounting, etc.) to execute the onboarding process

* Creates, collects, and analyzes customer/business insights as needed to help guide product plans, both short and long-term, with a review and makes recommendations based on the data as needed

* Handles daily requests from stores and communicates these requests to the appropriate Fulfillment Specialists so products can be ordered

* Resolves issues communicated by store personnel regarding vendor product concerns (vendor service problems, displays, returns, packaging, and resets)

* Reviews blueprints and planograms for accuracy and compliance with programs and takes corrective action when necessary


* H.S. Diploma and 2 years experience in customer facing role, corporate retail or other project coordination role


* Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field or

* 4 years experience in customer facing role, corporate retail or other project coordination role or

* 2 years experience in Lowe's stores
