RN / Registered Nurse - Critical Care Unit - Per Diem - Variable

A national leader in treatment of heart attack, congestive heart failure, pneumonia and surgical care, ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital is also a pacesetter in Michigan for obstetrics, emergency care, intensive care, controlling infections and organ donation.

The ICU unit is a Medical/Surgical/Cardiac Critical Care Unit. Stroke, Trauma certified.

General Summary:

Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, coordinates total nursing care for patients, participates in patient and family teaching, and provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient care team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting.

Job Requirements

* Degree from an accredited nursing program

* Must possess current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Michigan

* Current BCLS certification

* Specialty certifications as required

* Must have interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients of the following ages: pediatric (1-12 years); adolescent (13-17 years); adult (18-64 years); and geriatric (64 years and above); physicians, and other hospital personnel as needed to promote quality patient care.

* Must display a positive attitude toward the goals of the unit and the institution.

* Previous experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred
