About the Role:

* The role of the Microbiology Quality Technician is to conduct testing on routine and non-routine samples, as per approved procedures and protocols. They are responsible for ensuring that all testing is carried out in line with all quality system and regulatory requirements.

You're Responsibilities Include:

* May perform environmental monitoring, bio-burden testing, endotoxin testing and water monitoring,

* Collect samples from production facilities as required.

* Log in samples information upon arrival at microbiology laboratory.

* Maintain clean workspace, testing supplies, and equipment

* Performs all related laboratory functions including:

* Media preparation

* Sample preparation

* Plating samples

* Incubating plates

* Reading plates

* Reporting results

* Perform and record all laboratory daily checks accurately and in a timely manner

* Conduct study according to written instructions

* May be required to operate autoclave

What we're looking for:

* High school diploma or equivalent required.

* Associate's degree in microbiology, biology, or other relevant scientific discipline preferred.

* 2-5 years laboratory work experience preferred.

* 1 year of pipetting and aseptic technique preferred.

* Experience and working knowledge of FDA regulations/ISO standards for medical devices.

* Previous work in GLP/cGMP environment

Technical Competencies

* Awareness of applicable guidelines and regulations including, but not limited to USP, ISO, CTFA, FSA.

* Knowledge of GLP and/or GMP testing, scientific applications, experimental design, and data evaluation.

* Excellent oral and written communication skills

* Ability to work well independently and in a team oriented environment

* Detail oriented

* Ability to multi-task
