Medical Assistant - Psychiatry - $1000 sign on bonus

This position will work between Apple Valley and Highland Park clinics to support a psychiatrist. The schedule will be three days at Apple Valley and two days at Highland Park. The clinic hours are 7am -7pm and there will be one closing shift a week.

As a member of the care team, the Medical Assistant supports quality patient and family centered care principles through performing a variety of high level functions within a care team to support the needs of the healthcare team and patients/families.

To be successful the Medical Assistant must:

* Gather information and documents to support the patient visit

* Be responsible for adhering to all policies, procedures and practice guidelines

* Promote teamwork with all members of the health care team

* Maintain complete, timely and accurate clinical documentation for each patient and continually looking for opportunities to improve processes and workflow

* Room patients, take vitals and health history, document in an electronic medical record, give injections and assist with minor procedures

Job Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

* Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program (or be a current LPN within Fairview)

* Current BLS certification required upon hire

Preferred Qualifications:

* Current certification by the AAMA

* Previous experience in a clinic setting

* Willingness and ability to work at other locations
