Temporary Full Time Position - Global Supply Chain Transformation Principal Communications Specialist

Contribute to delivering the perfect patient experience and ensuring that the right Medtronic products are in the right place at the right time. Use your creativity and vision to lead communications in support of our global supply chain transformation. Engage and inspire employees by applying your communications expertise to core business strategies. Advise and support leadership, drive consistent messaging across multiple initiatives, and develop and execute communications plans as we implement programs worldwide.

Please note this is a temporary position which is expected to last not more than two years from the date of hire.

A Day in the Life

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

* Advise, support and partner with the Supply Chain leaders, teams, and communications partners, as well as regions and business groups, to create and deliver high-impact, engaging communications to employees.

* Design and implement highly visible strategic and tactical communication plans that support key priorities on behalf of Global Supply Chain and the Transformation team.

* Develop a message platform to support overall transformation strategic imperatives through consistent messaging to employees.

* Apply core supply chain transformation messaging, tools and approaches to all communications efforts. Customize materials and messaging as needed to make materials accurate and relevant to groups and regions.

* Coordinate with cross-functional teams, as appropriate, to share key messages and strategies.

* Engage global communications network to localize and deploy transformation messages and strategies in Business Groups, Regions and other Functions.

* Apply innovative thinking to solve complex problems and complete assignments that are often ambiguous.

* Monitor communication activities across multiple strategic initiatives and coordinates as needed.

* Produce strategic and tactical content such as articles, scripts, talking points and presentations for program communication.

* Develop measurement approach for evaluating campaign effectiveness.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

EDUCATION REQUIRED:

* Bachelor's Degree

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:

* 7+ years of experience (or 5+ years with a Master's degree) in a professional communications role within a Corporate, Agency or Consulting environment to be considered.

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

* Experience working with global, cross-functional teams and executing large transformational or change programs in a matrixed environment

* Experience working in a variety of media, including print, digital, and social

Nice to Have

* MBA or Advanced Degree is preferred in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or Public Relations

* Consistently drives and delivers superior results

* Experience supporting supply chain, distribution, or manufacturing operations

* Strong Leadership and influence management skills

* Project management experience

* Experience partnering with and managing external vendors and/or working with internal creative teams

* Applies creativity and innovation to solve problems or complete complex assignments

* Demonstrates business acumen, preferably experience in healthcare industry
