This is an exciting opportunity for General Managers #MN175 in Shoreview, Minnesota.

Your impact will happen in these and other ways:

  • Plan and direct the operations of a small scope organization and implement operating policies and procedures.
  • Achieve or exceed balanced scorecard targets for the organization of responsibility.
  • Manage profit and loss and asset utilization using knowledge of Financial Analysis.
  • Develop business plans based on the strategic goals set by business unit leadership utilizing channel development of power generation manufacturing knowledge.
  • Implement operating policies and procedures across multiple functional areas including customer service, finance, quality control, purchasing, materials management, and human resources.
  • Ensure proper execution of Value Package Profile (VPP) in the New Product Introduction (NPI) process and drive clear agreement on (VPP).
  • Use Anticipate, recognize, facilitate and coordinate the resolution of cross-functional challenges that may impact organizational success.
  • Work with cross-functional teams and customers to continuously improve customer satisfaction and to understand what the customer will need from Cummins in the future utilizing Voice of the Customer (VOC).
  • Translate long-term business strategy into actional short-term business goals for the organization.
  • Manage Six Sigma and continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) methodology.
  • Utilize Market Intelligence & Competitive Analysis to monitor ongoing market research to understand market trends, potential and product applications in target markets.
  • Perform Value Package Introduction (VPI) and Value Package Change Request (VPCR) activities including communicating power generation product requirements to the (VPI) team.
  • Conduct research on new engine product development to oversee the development of creative technical solutions and address engine parts, customer requirements/issues.

  • New Product Introduction (NPI)
  • Value Package Introduction (VPI), Value Package Profile (VPP), and Value Package Change Request (VPCR) activities
  • Pricing strategies using Price Segmentation and Price Elasticity of Demand Analysis
  • Financial Analysis
  • Market Intelligence & Competitive Analysis
  • Channel development of power generation manufacturing
  • Working with cross-functional teams
  • Voice of the Customer
  • Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) methodology
  • Research on new engine product development

Required Education, Licenses or Certifications:

  • Position requires a Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering Management or related field and 2 years of experience as a Marketing or Account Manager or related position.
  • Alternatively, the employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering Management or related field and 5 years of experience as a Marketing or Account Manager or related position.

JOB SITE: Shoreview, Minnesota

WORK HOURS: 40 hours/week - 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Compensation and Benefits

Base hourly rate commensurate with experience plus bonus.
