The Technologist provides services to patients and physicians through the creation of high quality diagnostic imaging, provides quality age-appropriate patient care according to established standards of practice, and works collaboratively with all members of the health care team

To be successful, the CT Technologist must be able to:

* Perform general radiographic, fluoroscopic, portable and computed tomography and bone densitometry procedures in an efficient, accurate manner using prescribed techniques and protocols.

* Demonstrate good knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and radiation safety protocols.

* Responsible for participating in departmental quality Assurance Plan.

* Performs support functions such as contrast injections as needed

Job Qualifications:

Required

* Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology

* Current ARRT certification

* Current BLS certification for a healthcare provider thru the ARC or AHA.

Preferred

* One year or more of experience as a CT technologist

* Experience with CR, PACS, RIS
