The Structured Finance team at Johnson Bank is focused on providing senior debt financing to middle-market companies owned by private equity groups. The strategy is centered around companies headquartered in the upper Midwest with EBITDA of $5-30 million. Lending will support buy-outs, recapitalizations, dividends, organic expansion and add-on acquisitions.

Primary responsibilities of the Structured Finance Portfolio Manager include performing underwriting analysis and preparing loan presentations for credit approval, exclusive to the Structured Finance portfolio.

Performs financial modeling and analysis for highly complex cash flow and general commercial deals; conducts continuous monitoring of multiple client portfolios; identifies relevant client risks and recommends structural mitigants.

Key Responsibilities

* Prepare complete underwriting of new credit opportunities, which includes detailed financial analysis, analyzing credit risk, and preparing loan presentations in accordance with sound credit-granting principles.

* Conduct due diligence that involves on-site client visits, analysis of business models, and comprehensive review of industry trends and related regulations.

* Reviews and continually monitors performance of existing accounts and client relationships. This includes routine financial performance reviews to assess the client's credit profile as well as validating client risk ratings, covenant compliance, and borrowing bases.

* Create financial models for use in analyzing and recommending appropriate capital structure and lending terms.

* Generate base case and sensitivity case projection models for use in analyzing leveraged loans.

* Generate updated financial models/ analyses as business needs and industry requirements dictate.

* Create presentation materials for clients and prospects with respect to financial solutions.

* Monitor client, industry and regulatory agencies for potential changes which may affect client's portfolio and business needs.

Required Experience

* 5 - 7+ years financial analysis required and 3-5 years credit analyst experience preferred; this opportunity is ideal for professionals with experience in investment banking, private equity, management consulting, accounting or commercial banking. Requires undergraduate degree in finance, economics, or accounting; MBA is a plus.

* Completion of a formal credit training program with a reputable commercial bank is preferred - must possess a working level of credit knowledge and skills.

* Exceptional skills in quantitative analytics, including demonstrated experience in financial modeling, financial analysis, and accounting, along with extensive problem solving skills.

* Highly developed interpersonal and relationship building skills as well as written and oral communication skills.

* Individual is expected to be self-directed with the ability to work under limited supervision; learn /adapt quickly, and be able to multi-task and meet time-sensitive deadlines. High level of proficiency in all Microsoft Office Suite applications (Word, Excel).
