Immigration Specialist

The Immigration Specialist is as a member of the Experis team.The Immigration Specialist works collaboratively to handle employment-based immigration cases. Responsible for case management and document preparation. The Immigration Specialist will also have regular interaction with consultants, field and corporate staff, as well as federal agencies.

H-1B cases

* Determine PW

* Draft LCA

* Send posting notice to Field

* Collect and review documents from candidate

* Draft forms and support letters

* Collect MSA, WO and other supporting documents from Field

* Pull support documents from the system

* Finalize petition and file with USCIS

* Collect evidence and respond to RFEs

* Follow up with Field regarding LCA posting notices

* Case communication with consultant, TM, Field and Immigration manager

* Ensure adherence to federal immigration laws and regulations

Green cards

* Review/analyze documents collected by Immigration Support team

* Draft skill matrices for GC cases

* Communicate with consultants regarding approval of skill matrix and collecting experience letters from past employers

* Assist consultants with language in past employer letters

* Verify that skills provided by consultant match our minimum requirements

* Escalate issues to Immigration manager and TM

* Draft recruitment and Prevailing Wage Determination (PWD)

* Prepare PERM packs for attorney review

* Post jobs for PERM recruitment

* Review resumes that come in during recruitment process

* Draft form ETA9089 and file form and supporting documents with DOL

* Respond to audits from DOL

* Collect evidence and respond to RFEs

* Case communication with consultant, TM, Field and Immigration manager

* Ensure adherence to federal immigration laws and regulations

Required Skills:

* At least 5 years of immigration paralegal experience working with an array of visa types including but not limited to H1B, TN, L1A, L1B, E3, J1 and OPT/STEM . Experience with PERM applications and entire green card process and specifications.

* Large corporation or recruiting company background required

* US immigration knowledge required

* Should have strong MS Office Suite skills – especially Excel

* Knowledge of Case management tools preferred

* Excellent communication skills

* Detail oriented

* Should be able to multi-task

* Good critical thinking skills – must be able to work under pressure

* Should be able to manage high volume workloads

Education/Experience:

* Bachelor's degree required.

* Paralegal Certification is preferred.
