Carter Custom Millwork in Millersburg, OH is currently seeking a Custom Cabinet Maker. Qualified candidates will have 2 years’ experience, knowledge in custom cabinetry, woodworking, and laminate experience. This is a Full-time position, eligible for benefits.

A Carter Custom Millwork Custom Cabinet Maker is responsible for fulfilling custom cabinet orders in a timely and accurate manner. This is accomplished by producing needed materials, calculating measurements, and assembling the product to the customers’ specifications. A strong belief in the mission and goals of the company are necessary to this position.

Requirements to be considered for this position:

  • Previous experience in a millwork environment
  • Previous knowledge of cabinet making and assembly of fabricated cabinets
  • General carpentry skills
  • Knowledge and expertise with woodworking tools
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong knowledge in mathematics and calculating measurements
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast pace environment
  • Ability to work in a team environment

Responsibilities of the Position:

1. Set-up

  • Sets up equipment and material in order to assemble cabinet orders accordingly.
  • Reviews and analyzes custom orders to ensure proper materials are provided and available.

2. Assembly

  • Fabricates and constructs all custom orders for cabinets.
  • Operates machinery to make precise cuts and miters to properly assemble the cabinets.
  • Wood & laminate casework
  • May finish cabinet by sanding and installing hardware.
  • Ensures orders are completed to customer’s specifications and according to schedule.
  • Ensures cabinets are properly packaged for shipment or pick-up without damage.

3. Safety

  • Adheres to safety requirements when operating tools and equipment.
  • Handles material in a safe and appropriate manner.
  • Reports any defects or safety issues.
