Business Intelligence (BI) developer is responsible for report and BI development including; dashboards, data visualizations, charts, graphs, data migration, ad-hoc reporting, data validation, QA, and project mgt. Must be proficient in Teradata SQL, BI tools like Microstrategy, data warehouse concepts, enterprise application systems, processes, and communications skills. Needs to be willing to adapt to changes in job requirements, learning and applying new skills as needed to ensure the company's success.

Job Responsibilities

* Design, code, test, and document BI solutions

* Analyze user requirements and, based on findings, design and develop graphs, charts, dashboards and other BI solutions

* Develop adhoc BI solutions

* Provide BI support for delivered solutions

* Work with department managers and executives to identify needs and set priorities

* Identify new data sources needed to be brought into the data warehouse and work with ETL team to migrate data to data warehouse

* Conduct job duties and responsibilities according to the organization's business systems development methodology and/or its Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology

* Design and deliver end-user training and training materials; provide technical support as necessary

* Act as evangelist for BI benefits across the organization; promote BI usage to relevant departments

* Perform other duties as required and assigned by manager and upper management.

* Follow legal policies as directed.

Job Requirements

* 3 to 5 yrs experience

* Strong understanding of relational databases

* Ability to develop and understand complex SQL queries

* Experience with BI tools

* Ability to analyze processes, recommend improvements and identify opportunities for business innovation


* SQL Proficiency

* Microstrategy

* Teradata Database Schemas and SQL

* ETL - a plus

* Microsoft SQL Server Tools SSRS, SSIS, SSAS - a plus


* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Business Administration, Engineering or a related field

CertificationsPhysical Requirements

This position requires the incumbent to sit, stand and perform general office functions. The incumbent may also be required to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally. Bending, stooping and reaching are also frequently required.
