Job Summary

Responsibilities include:

* Generate directional well plans and programs for submittal with drilling permits, bid request and drilling programs for wells to be drilled in Permian Basin

* Work with drilling engineers to achieve cost effective performance in fast paced horizontal drilling program

* Knowledge of Texas RRC and New Mexico State and Federal regulatory agencies and applicable regulations as needed to ensure compliance for regulatory permitting and actual execution

* Calculate penetration points, first take point (FTP), and last take point (LTP) interpolations from directional data to aid completion group in finalizing frac procedures

* Create directional proposals for off lease surface hole locations and multi- well pad drilling concepts for presentations

* Manage Landmark Survey database software by compiling historical data for offset wellbore information and anti-collision purposes

* Advise drilling engineers on appropriate survey programs such that the well's positioning objectives are met and that surveys are validated

* Generate anti-collision analysis reports and corresponding plots

* Collaborate with the various asset teams on field development projects

* Coordinate surface inspections with construction supervisors for potential well pad location

* Generate surface use drawings for aide in the planning and construction of multi-well pad locations

* Other duties as assigned

Education/Experience Required

* Bachelor's Degree in Related Field

* Minimum of 5 years directional drilling experience

* Proficient computer application skills needed in association with Landmark, Excel, GIS, Autocad, and PowerPoint

* Concho's annual review and application of the Fair Labor Standards Act has determined that this position is an exempt position

* Must be able to work in the United States indefinitely
