Job Description

Job Summary:

The SWD Alarm Technician patrols and checks SWD injection facilities and transfers pumps in assigned area to insure proper operations and minimize chances of water or oil spills.

Job Duties:

* Drives at night in all weather and road conditions to widely dispersed saltwater injection facilities and transfer pump installations.

* Checks head switches, water levels in tanks, injection pumps, pressure gauges, etc., to ensure proper system operation.

* Monitors operation of saltwater transfer pumps moving fluid to injection sights.

* Checks for leaks; takes corrective action such as shutting down transfer pumps.

* Calls contract water haulers for emergency pickups, to prevent saltwater tank overflow when systems are not operating correctly.

* Monitors operation of SWD alarm systems; receives radio/mobile telephone notices from answering service; decides on appropriate/best response.

* As appropriate, goes to site to identify, diagnose and correct problem.

* Notifies Foreman or Lease Operator of emergency needs.

* When traveling in the vicinity of oil/water flow lines, observes lines for leaks or other problems.

* While at tank battery locations, visually observes operation of pumping units, heaters, and other facilities for leaks and other readily detectable problems.

* Watches for unauthorized persons, vehicles, etc., on Company lease roads or property; notifies Foreman, Company security or local law enforcement, as appropriate.

* Provides for proper servicing, maintenance, and security of Company vehicle and facilities for which responsible.

* As required to correct problems encountered, contacts Company Roustabouts, Foreman, Supervisor, Contract Electricians, etc.

* Learns and follows all Pioneer HSE (Health, Safety and Environment) policies at all times.

* Knows and uses appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) at all times.

* Drives Company vehicles over various types of road conditions and terrain, including highways, rural roads including paved and gravel surfaces, and off road situations including two track roads; road conditions include steep hills, muddy roads, snow covered roads and other poor conditions.

* Fills out time sheets, daily work sheets.

* Washes vehicles according to PNR standards.

* Internal applicants should meet all eligibility requirements per employee handbook.

* Performs other/additional duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Qualifications:

* 4 years oil field related experience.

* High School education or equivalent.
