Lead Senior Spec Network Sys Eng (Government)

AT&T

is seeking a Network System Lead Engineer with extensive background in

transport technology planning for global Department of Defense Information

Network (DoDIN).

The candidate will provide transport technology planning

support to a diverse range of internal and customer requirements, including

assessment of new technologies and protocols to meet the requirements.

Required Skills, Certification,

Experience, and Education:

The candidate shall have in-depth knowledge of legacy

SONET/SDH/PDH protocols and emerging Layer 2 protocol, Ethernet and OTN

switching. The candidate shall

demonstrate past experience in the planning for deployment of the

Multi-Service Planning Platform (MSPP), Optical Digital Cross-connect (ODXC)

technologies, and DWDM systems. The past

experience in OTN switching is required.

The candidate shall develop Bill Of Material (BOM), technology

configuration for transport technologies to meet the service

requirements.

When required, the candidate shall

travel with government personnel to attend engineering Technical Exchange

Meetings (TEMs), support government project leads at internal/external

project management meetings, develop briefing slides for Senior

Leadership/project leads, develop white papers and support the development of

transport related engineering studies.

The candidate shall have:

* Proven working experience with

SONET/SDH/PDH/OTN/DWDM/ROADM transport equipment

* Proven working experience with system

and program documentation processes

* Outstanding interpersonal and communication

skills

* 10

years or more of related experience required

* Bachelor's

degree in Computer Science, or Engineering, or related discipline or ten

years of experience
