Serve as a strategic partner for assigned business units to identify and prioritize initiatives which align with corporate strategies and business objectives. Oversee business case and cost benefit analysis development for customers' business initiatives. Assist in planning and budgeting of resources needed to meet business objectives. Develop a comprehensive understanding of business partner's strategic direction to provide long-range improvement strategies and outline risk and opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Supervisor responsibilities to include staffing, training and development, performance management, and work force planning.

Duties and Responsibilities

* Serve as a strategic partner for assigned business units, and corporate project management to prioritize initiatives and align IT products and services to business strategy. Represent IT in communicating IT services and capabilities.

* Oversee business case and cost benefit analysis development for customers' strategic business initiatives to assure CMIC receives the business value expected.

* Develop a thorough understanding of the business partner's strategic direction, business needs and drivers, culture, and existing systems, and provide support to partners in aligning their IT strategies to business objectives, program, and service delivery responsibilities.

* Develop long-range improvement strategies to support CMIC's business strategy with business partners. Outline risks and opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness of business units

* Assist department heads in planning and budgeting of resources needed from corporate‑shared services.

* Support business project planning, project management, project reporting, and assist in the resolution of escalated service management or project management issues.

* Act as the customer service and strategic advisory services focal point.

* Promote collaboration with internal technology teams and external technology vendors.

* Supervisor/manager responsibilities may include all of the following:

* Staffing needs, to include interviewing and onboarding for new employees.

* Training and development, as well as coaching and motivation for staff.

* Performance management, goal setting, employee engagement, and salary administration.

* Work force management to include unit equipment, software, and space needs, approving time off and overtime usage, and budget recommendations.

Essential Functions

* Ability to learn Church Mutual policies, products, IT systems, processes, and methodologies.

* Knowledge of financial management.· Proficient in the use of project management methods, tools, and techniques.

* Ability to adapt to and manage organization change.

* Knowledge of business analysis tools and techniques including methods of process improvement.

* Ability to manage resources, vendors, and business controls.

* Ability to recommend process improvements or redesign of task/processes.

* Ability to manage through constructive conflict to deliver positive outcomes.

* Strong quality management skills.

* Strong communication and negotiating skills that create win-win situations.

Required Experience

* 6+ years progressive responsibility and successful project management experience to include management of all aspects and stages of large-scale projects or equivalent experience.

* Prior service in multiple insurance company functions or experience in cross-functional work.

* Technical project management experience preferred.

* Insurance industry experience required.

* Management experience preferred.
