Verification and Reporting Specialist Responsibilities

The Verification and Reporting Specialist oversees the collection and reporting of all documentation required to substantiate participant engagement in TANF and WIOA activities.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

* Collects, compiles, reviews and summarizes data to substantiate participant engagement with TANF and program outcomes for WIOA.

* Ensures all participation data is submitted timely and accurately.

* Collects employment and employment retention related documentation.

* Supports all administrative and follow-up efforts related to documentation and performance calculation for work participation rate and WIOA common measure attainment.

* Coordinates with JSC and Program Management to improve quality and quantity of participation data gathered on a weekly basis.

* Supports the Business Services Coordinator of work –based- learning on gathering and reporting on participation in such activities.

* Prepares reports related to program activities

* Works well in teams, business customers and other staff.

* Able to communicate effectively to both oral and written.

* Additional duties as assigned.

Specific Requirements

Education:

* Related Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, or equivalent work experience.

Qualifications:

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated customer service skills. Familiarity with the communities being served, with knowledge and understanding of local needs and resources. Demonstrated knowledge of labor market trends. Public speaking experience. Demonstrated computer skills, with experience using Microsoft Office software programs.
