Quality Engineering Technician

Job Description

Position Overview:

Phillips-Medisize is seeking a Quality Engineering Technician to support our medical facilities in Menomonie, Wisconsin.

Shift: 8 hour First Shift

Essential Functions:

* Support Pre-Production Quality Engineers on critical issues and associated Quality System deliverables

* Learn IQMS related tools and deliverables associated with deviations, quality holds, MRBs, and inventory management

* Support creation and execution of Batch Record and provide formal Batch Record review inclusive of GDP requirements

* Test products per engineering instructions and document test results utilizing approved Quality processes

* Troubleshoot and suggest creative solutions to process and design issues

* Installation and set-up of equipment and ancillary support hardware

* Assist in up-front design considerations of equipment and processes

* Manage multiple projects and/or challenging projects

* Assist with creating, updating and training on WI, SOP, and other necessary documents needed to perform quality work

* Extended travel to other facilities may be required to support business needs

* Some programs may have vision requirements

* Other duties as assigned

* Safety/Environmental: Where applicable, individual is pre-planning safety into work activities to improve performance, proactively identifies safety concerns, complies with Environmental Management System program SOP's/WI, Policy & Program elements and encourages responsible use of resources

Position Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Education / Experience:

* Associates Degree in electro-mechanical technology, machine tooling technics or related field with 1 - 4 years of related experience

* Actively pursue training on new technology as needed by the company

Skills/Competencies:

* Strong interpersonal, organizational, communication and problem solving skills

* Strong skills in continuous improvement and process facilitation

* Strong ability to think outside of box, and assist others in doing so

* Proven troubleshooting/problem solving experience of automated processing equipment

* Strong ability to interpret electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and schematics

* Competence with MS Word, MS Excel, CAD or similar drawing package

* Understand and working knowledge of Lockout/Tagout

* Good project management skills

* Ability to create technical documents

* Work with little supervision

* Good communication and written skills

* Leadership and self-motivation skills
