GridIron IT is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to work on a 100% REMOTE basis.

Join our rapidly scaling team who will help establish best practices and be a key part of developing our frontend interfaces as well as define how we work with React.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain and implement efficient, interactive, and responsive user interfaces for our customers
• Write clean, reusable code and libraries
• Balance application performance with maintainability and code readability
• Implement input validations
• Collaborate with team members and stakeholder
• Bridge the gap between graphic design and technical implementation
• Define how the application looks and how it works, optimizing for scalability and speed
• Translate UI/UX design wireframes to actual code
• Act as a mentor to junior developers, through code reviews and document critiques

Qualifications

• 5+ years of frontend development experience
• 3+ years of proven experience with a modern javascript framework (React, Angular, Vue, etc.)
• Solid command of web technologies and object oriented design
• Knowledge and experience with HTML5, CSS3, SCSS, JavaScript, jQuery
• Prior experience with stencil.js is a plus
• Experience with REST based APIs
• Experience with source control using Git and GitHub
• Startup experience is a plus
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Must be a team player with a strong, self-managing work ethic
• Passion for software engineering, learning and continuous improvement
• BS in a quantitative or scientific field such as computer science, computer engineering or equivalent experience
