ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:

The Director, Global Learning & Development Facilitation is part of FTI's dynamic global Human Resources practice. This position will report to FTI's Senior Director, Global Learning & Development Solutions and will be the expert and primary facilitator/trainer for all levels, functional areas and geographies to build the requisite skills for professionals to deliver business results today and in the future.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

Facilitation

Facilitate or train in-person in FTI locations and regions two-to-three weeks of every month in content that is developed by FTI Global L&D Solutions team members and when necessary content that is developed by external vendors.

Conduct train-the-trainer events to develop training and facilitation expertise in FTI's employees.

Support internal trainers in their initial launches of their own internal training events.

Coordinate with L&D Operations on all required training and facilitation logistics needs, and support L&D Operations with information needed in return.

Facilitate and train in multiple media as scheduled and requested.

Provide feedback to course managers on developed training, in particular the Director, Global L&D Instructional Systems Design and the Senior Director, Global L&D Solutions. Consult as needed with other course managers in the segments.

Utilize expert facilitation and training techniques and instructional design to deliver programs.

Train and coach other team members in L&D Solutions in expert facilitation and training techniques.

Employ adult learning principles and innovation strategies.

Continually research and apply best-in-class and new facilitation and training methods and techniques. Maintain knowledge of training and facilitation techniques including addition of technology and micro-learning by attending workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies. Introduce applicable trends in facilitation and training and development for inclusion in offerings.

Submit rosters immediately to trigger the learning effectiveness evaluation and ROI of training delivered including providing input on surveys and analysis on survey results.

Needs Assessment & Solutioning

Work with subject matter experts and identify target audience's training needs

Work with Global L&D to share needs as part of a broader needs assessment

Work with key players in other regions and network with global L&D leaders to address common goals and achieve the global L&D strategy.

Liaise with the business regarding the process and results of quality (QA) programs, assess risk and continuously improve learning initiatives based on these results

Report on strategic matters at the appropriate level of detail

Instructional Design and Development

Work with Global L&D in the creation of a competency-based curriculum of fundamental, intermediate and advanced courses.

Contribute to the instructional systems design and development of blended learning programs that meet the demand needs of internal customers in alignment with global priorities.

* Create engaging learning activities, exercises, and compelling course content that enhances the learning process, retention and knowledge transfer.

* Apply tested instructional design theories, practice and methods.

* Create supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games etc).

Employ adult learning principles and innovation strategies

Maintain project documentation and course folders.

Reporting & Metrics

Contribute to criteria used to judge learner's performance and develop assessment instruments

Prepare various reports for firm leaders, including responses to regulatory or legal requests on course performance, approach, duration, topics covered, and future training plans

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university

Minimum of 8 years of experience in learning & development curriculum development and training solutions and in-person and virtual training and facilitation

Minimum of 2 years working in professional services environment

Minimum of 2 years supporting customers virtually only

PREFERRED SKILLS:

Excellent interpersonal, communication and facilitation skills

Formal development and demonstrated expertise in Instructional Systems Design

Skilled in project management methods and tools

Proficient in the Microsoft suite of products (i.e. PowerPoint, Excel, and Word). Advanced proficiency is a plus.

Ability to understand different businesses and business models easily and quickly

10 years working in professional services environment

Global experience

Prior vendor management and evaluation experience

Development of blended learning solutions including micro-learning offerings

Ambitious self-starter with a needs and solutions/results based orientation and ability to execute globally

Business acumen and consultative skills; ability to influence and drive change throughout the organization

Ability to collaborate with and influence people at all levels

Ability to accommodate from 50-60% business travel

Ability to remain positively engaged and exhibit positive relationship management skills.

Experience in using Articulate, Captivate Brainshark and other tools.

Proficient in SharePoint and Office 365.

Ability to expertly manage multiple projects while meeting tight deadlines.

Strong research, proofreading, writing and editing skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, growth oriented and matrixed organizational environment where independence, felicity and adaptability are required.

Seeks and applies feedback, and provides feedback, per FTI's models.

Continual learner and self-developer, seeking to expand knowledge, capability and skills outside of comfort zone and past experience.
