Job Description

This Senior Electrical Engineering position at the Maumelle Facility for Kimberly-Clark provides electrical engineering technical expertise for manufacturing processes. The incumbent is responsible for understanding and supporting the Global Wipes manufacturing strategy, support of process analysis and troubleshooting, and lead improvement projects as needed. This position has responsibility for Talent Building of less experienced engineers. Candidates should have expertise across multiple technologies in both staff and plant environments and will have a demonstrated ability to effectively provide specific project work direction to a broad range of team members.

Responsibilities -

* Lead single or multiple product or process improvement projects with a financial scope from less than $1MM to over $25MM from conception to commercialization.

* Provide functional leadership and creativity in the initiation, design, development and optimization of Wet Wipes, Coform and Solution Mix converting and manufacturing equipment and processes to meet unit objectives.

* Develop knowledge and skills in leadership of the application of engineering principles, scientific analysis, and project management.

* Carry out all job responsibilities in a safe manner. Develop equipment and processes that meet safety codes, policies and guidelines. Provide for the safety and well-being of operators, maintenance and other personnel.

* Seek, recognize, define and solve problems/ opportunities to achieve unit objectives. Identify complex technical issues to determine root cause. Explore, initiate, design, optimize and develop manufacturing and supporting processes.

* Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with Kimberly Clark staff, plants and vendors/contractors.

* Assist in the development of others within the area of the incumbent's expertise.

Basic Qualifications -

* Candidates must possess a bachelors or advanced degree in an engineering major with electrical component from an ABET accredited College or University.

* A minimum of 8 years of experience programming, calibrating, operating, and maintaining Robotic systems.

* Strong knowledge and background in control of high speed converting processes and equipment, and demonstrated ability to translate knowledge into execution of process and capacity improvements.

* Experience with industrial control programming including motion applications.

* Experience with HMI systems.

* Experience working with external technical service providers and suppliers.

Preferred Qualifications -

* 12+ years of experience programming, calibrating, operating, and maintaining Robotic systems.

* Experience in a plant and staff engineering role.

* Demonstrated ability of writing and presenting updates to leadership.

* Experience with the use of Lean tools including VSMs, SMED, Kaizens, etc.

* Experience with the preparation of appropriation documents including appropriation write-ups, appropriation estimates, asset detailing, asset write-offs, etc.

* Experience reading and interpreting CFIs.

* Experience with AutoCAD.

* Experience with the Coform manufacturing process and Wipes Converting process.

* Database systems query and interface including MES systems

* A demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams to achieve project results within required time frames.
