As a VP IT, AppOps, you can look forward to:
Being accountable for all aspects of infrastructure operations and application support for the assigned business segment. You will manage the complete set of infrastructure solutions and operations with the goal of being the single accountable leader for all functional groups supporting their applications and services including change request execution and oversight.Provides senior level management to an operation and/or facility. Ensure optimal utilization of staff/resources to maximize efficiency while meeting client specifications and/or business objectives. Works with executive management to develop strategies for entire business unit in the most cost effective manner.Level 2 support of all assigned applications.Level 2 support defined as:24x7 Production Availability/Stability Support IssuesChange Request (CR) Execution and Validation for Infrastructure CRs Support Infrastructure Environment Hygiene Initiatives Operationalization – documentation, DR/BCP exercises, alerting/monitoring, automationProvide Operational and Infrastructure expertise to the development process Manage application profiling data for performance and capacityEnsuring application software versions are up to dateAdditional dutiesOversee operations for a business unit or group to ensures budgetary objectives are established and achieved. Ensures business is in compliance with all federal and state regulations.Building, improving and sustaining ongoing operational support of servers, storage, middleware, and databases within Fiserv's walls or from an external infrastructure vendor supporting their applications and services Strategic, forward –thinking, and client focused, with a global enterprise view of systems, people & processesEnsures the Infrastructure organization understands the customers' perspective of service, and is able to prioritize its services and service assets appropriately.Works collaboratively with global technology functions to deliver technology standards across the Fiserv regions and maintains adherence to corporate policies.Develops strategic plans identifying opportunities to improve Service Quality while minimizing costs.Aligns implementations across the global team, ensuring budgets are maintained and resources are allocated effectively.Accountable for personally driving defined transformation programs to reduce cost, improve efficiency, increase availability, and improve overall quality of service delivery
Basic requirements for consideration:
- BS/BA degree in MIS or Computer Science or equivalent industry experience
- 10 years of operations management experience.
- Extensive experience in dealing with client-related issues.
- Financial services experience preferred.
