Aircraft Servicer

This is an On-Call Position

The Aircraft Servicer directs incoming and outgoing aircraft near the terminal area to assist pilot's maneuvering of the aircraft on the ground, using hand or light signals or drives light truck with guiding sign. Secures aircraft in parking position with blocks and stakes. Services aircraft to include: replenish fuel, oil, water, oxygen, and hydraulic fluid. Checks for fuel contamination by draining sumps. Operates ground support equipment such as electrical power supply and engine starting units. Examines tires for specified air pressure and condition. Positions and removes boarding platforms to unload or load aircraft passengers. May deice aircraft wings and assemblies, using glycol mixture. May install drag chutes or retrieve them and send them to parachute shop for re-packing.

Physical Requirements:

Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to include: frequent standing, walking, climbing, bending, kneeling and stooping. Ability to communicate verbally. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Environment:

Work is performed both in/outdoors; thus the ability to work in varying conditions: heat, cold, rain etc. is required. Exposure to frequent loud noise.

Required Job Qualifications:

* HS Diploma or Equivalent

* Prior Military Maintenance Aircraft Experience or A&P License

* Security Clearance (or ability to obtain upon hire)

Necessary Licenses or Certifications:

* Valid Driver's License

Work Schedule:

* On-Call

* Various shifts, which may include Saturdays and Sundays
