Recovery Coach

MHC Healthcare is seeking a Recovery Coach to join our Behavioral Health team at the Counseling and Wellness Center and the Dove Mountain Health Center, located in Marana, AZ. MHC Healthcare is a Federally Qualified Community Health Center (FQHC), with 15 sites in Tucson and Pima County. MHC Healthcare is building a world-class integrated health care system that is committed to caring for special populations, and focused on improving health outcomes for our patients. The Recovery Coach will provide direct client services to individuals and/or family members. Services provided may include case management, skills training, group counseling, group skills training, health promotion, crisis intervention, transportation, supportive employment services, counseling with appropriate clinical oversight and others depending on client need. Services may be provided in office, home, school or community settings. The Recovery Coach will assist supervisory staff with tracking of clients, including the generation of reports that will allow follow-through on quality of care. Recovery Coach staff may be requested to provide assistance and/or training to Recovery Coach and/or RSS/FSP staff, depending upon qualifications and experience.

This position will work at the Counseling and Wellness Center as well as the Dove Mountain Health Center, in Marana.

Education and Experience for Recovery Coach III:

* Bachelor's Degree in Social Service field; preferred. Two (2) year degree in Social Services and three (3) years of direct behavioral health services may replace Bachelor's Degree; preferred. Minimum of seven (7) years of behavioral health experience with High school diploma or GED; required.

* Minimum of three (3) years of experience working with State AHCCCS and Regional Behavioral Health Authority (RBHA) clients; required.

Education and Experience for Recovery Coach II:

* Bachelor's Degree in Social Service field; required. Minimum of five (5) years of behavioral health experience and one (1) year of direct experience may replace Bachelor's Degree. High school diploma/GED; required.

* Minimum of one (1) year of experience working with State AHCCCS and Regional Behavioral Health Authority (RBHA) clients; preferred.

Education and Experience for Recovery Coach I:

* Bachelor's Degree in Social Service field or one of the following is required: Bachelor's Degree with 24 credit hours in Social Service field or Associate's Degree with two (2) years' experience in Social Service field or High school diploma/GED and four (4) years' direct experience in Social Service field.

* Experience working with State AHCCCS/RBHA clients; preferred.

Education and Experience for all candidates:

* Experience with community resources and agencies; preferred.

* CPR and First Aid certified; required.

* Fingerprint Clearance Card through the Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS); required.

* Current 39-month Motor Vehicle record; required.

The ideal candidate will also possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

* Excellent customer service skills.

* Excellent computer skills.

* Knowledge of State and RBHA requirements.

* Thorough knowledge of current versions of DSM and ICD.

* Ability to complete a Behavioral Health Assessment with appropriate clinical oversight. (RC II and III).
