Our Night Audit Representative serves as the main point of contact for all guest requests in the overnight hours. Responsible for ensuring all guests are provided the same level of service during the overnight hours as during the day. This person is guest focused, friendly, and is an outgoing individual that greets and assist our guests. This motivated candidate must be able to multi-task effectively and work independently. Responsible for running end-of-day reports, night audit backup and roll the date. This person will also be able to maintain a house bank, make deposits and accurately report daily receipts.


Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Must be present at the front desk to greet our guests in a genuine manner
  • Extend professionalism and courtesy to guests and fellow associates at all times
  • Provides excellent customer service by being readily available and approachable for our guests

  • Takes proactive approaches when dealing with guest concerns and responds to them in a timely manner
  • Anticipate the guests needs at all times while exceeding their expectations

  • Answer phone calls professionally using appropriate etiquette
  • Handles guest check-in and check-out in an accurate and efficient manner
  • Process all payment types such as room charges, cash, debit or credit card charges
  • Process any adjustments, paid outs, vouchers or miscellaneous charges
  • Print contingency report for all guest information in case of an emergency
  • Sells rooms to guests based on availability on the telephone as well as to walk-ins
  • Process requests for wake up calls and advise guests of any messages
  • Complete the Room Rate Variance Report
  • Count bank at beginning and end of shift to ensure accuracy of bank
  • Balance and drop any payments and receipts according proper cash handling procedures
  • Report and record any accidents, injuries or unsafe work conditions to manager on duty (First Report of Injury paperwork)
  • Ensure the safety of our guests by monitoring guest halls as well as any guests arriving or departing the hotel
  • Act with integrity and maintain confidentiality of proprietary information

General Duties and Expectations:

  • Adhere to all policies and procedures put in place by Marriott and Terratron
  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
  • Speak with guests and associates using clear, respectful and professional language
  • Check lobby, public restrooms, front desk and back office for cleanliness and clean as needed
  • Adhere to safe working conditions in compliance with OSHA, SDS and ADA laws
  • Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with others
  • Lead by example in demonstrating self-confidence, energy and enthusiasm
  • Team player that assists in other departments when necessary
  • Comply with proper key handling procedures
  • Solicit feedback for continuous improvement

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Ability to carry, walk, push, pull, and lift items of up to 50 lbs. to knee height and stand or move continuously during work hours
  • Must be a fast learner, obtain strong organizational skills and be able to multitask with competing priorities
  • Strong interpersonal skills and can communicate well both verbally and in writing
  • Strong computer knowledge and experience
  • Ability to work with cleaning chemicals and maintain sanitary conditions
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED or greater
  • Work a flexible schedule with hours between 10pm and 6am each week; at least two weekends a month
  • Ability to speak, understand, and write English in order to meet guests needs and complete required paperwork
  • Must be able to work independently, is dependable and reliable
  • Strong cash handling skills
