Vanguard's Financial Advisor Services Division is hiring two Event Experience Managers. These two unique manager roles will lead through leveraging strategic marketing to drive event execution.

Vanguard Hosted Event Experience Manager

Lead the Vanguard Hosted Event Experience team, which plans and executes Vanguard events for the FAS business, clients, and crew. Create a holistic vision and corresponding strategy for the Vanguard Hosted event type and oversee the development of individual strategies that deliver engaging, meaningful event experiences that align to key business goals, deepen client relationships, promote our brand, and advance Vanguard's thought leadership.

Third Party Event Experience Manager

Lead the Third Party Event Experience team, which plans and executes industry events for the FAS business and its clients. Create a holistic vision and corresponding strategy for the third party event type and oversee the development of individual strategies that deliver engaging, meaningful event experiences that align to key business goals, promote our brand, and advance Vanguard's thought leadership.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Manages staff. Provides guidance, training and motivation as necessary to develop staff. Hires, evaluates and counsels personnel. Follows corporate disciplinary procedures per established Vanguard standards as required. Sets performance standards, reviews performance, provides feedback, and recommends wage increases in accordance with all applicable Human Resources policies and procedures.

2. Participates in development of strategic marketing plan in conjunction with marketing executive. Executes business plan, analyzes costs, and achieves strong results; effectively manages risk.

3. Demonstrates initiative and creativity in recommending and implementing marketing solutions to support business and sales strategies. Manages development of annual event marketing calendar, and maintains partnership with broader Marketing team for successful event execution.

4. Provides direction to cross-functional team members as needed for development and execution of marketing initiatives.

5. Maintains strong relationship with Conference and Event Planning team to ensure successful experiences at events.

6. Participates in review of strategic competitive analysis. Coordinates with internal and external constituents to keep abreast of industry trends. Counsels the business and/or sales as needed.

7. Uses measurement to determine effectiveness of marketing initiatives.

8. Builds strategic relationships across divisions and sites; welcomes debate, demonstrates a collaborative, inclusive style. Contributes to peers' success. Champions diversity.

9. Demonstrates flexible and independent thinking; maximizes personal impact; deals well with ambiguity. Acts with integrity, challenges status quo.

10. Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

* Undergraduate degree or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Marketing degree preferred.

* Minimum of five years of related marketing experience.

* Management experience with a proven ability to lead teams.

* Experience in managing multi-channel, multi-segment marketing campaigns preferred.

* Solid organizations skills and ability to work across multiple functions.

* Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.

* Strong executive presence.

* Demonstrated ability to function in a high volume/fast-paced environment working with multiple and diverse responsibilities.

* Ability to work quickly and independently with attention to detail and sensitivity to deadlines.

* Innovative mindset.

* Demonstrated initiative self-starting.
