We are currently seeking a Medical Assistant to:

* Join obstetricians/gynecologists and certified nurse-midwives who provide a broad range of basic and specialized medical and surgical services to support women's health, ranging from primary obstetrical and gynecological health care to advanced techniques in diagnosing and treating infertility problems and malignancies of the female reproductive tract.

* Provide quality care in a compassionate and patient-family centered environment

* Prepare patients for examination, obtain vital signs, document chief complaint, medications and allergies, and assist with exams and procedures.

* Promote healthy life styles, wellness and education

Education:

Minimum – Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or licensure as an LPN

Work Experience:

Minimum – Will consider new Medical Assistant and LPN graduates

Preferred – One year experience as a Certified Medical Assistant or LPN

Licenses and Certifications:

Minimum – Certified as CMA, RMA or CCMA or eligible for certification. Certification must be obtained within one year of hire from date of hire. CPR Certification.

Physical Requirements:

Medium: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting/and or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds.

Work Schedule:

This position is 100% FTE, 40 hours per week. This position is Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm. No weekends, on call, or holiday shifts. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

Pay:

The starting salary for this position is $16.00. UW Health offers a competitive compensation and benefits package. Work experience that is relevant to the position will be taken into consideration when determining the starting base pay.

Sign-On Bonus:

This position is eligible for up to a $2,000 sign-on bonus (pro-rated on FTE/Hours).
