Medical Assistant (MA, CMA) - Breast Center

We are currently seeking a Medical Assistant to:

* Join our expert team of professionals who care for more than 600 new breast cancer patients and more than 3,000 survivors each year.

* Provide care for patients with non-cancerous breast conditions who may be at high risk for breast cancer.

* Promote health and wellness so patients can achieve their goals and prevent breast cancer.

Education:

Minimum – Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or licensure as an LPN

Work Experience:

Minimum – Will consider new Medical Assistant and LPN graduates

Preferred – One year experience as a Certified Medical Assistant or LPN

Licenses and Certifications:

Minimum – Certified as CMA, RMA or CCMA or eligible for certification. Certification must be obtained within one year of hire from date of hire. CPR Certification.

Physical Requirements:

Medium: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting/and or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds.

Work Schedule:

This position is 100% FTE, 40 hours per week. Monday - Friday with varying shifts between 7:00am - 5:00pm. Hours may vary based on the needs of the department.

Pay:

The starting salary for this position is $16.00. UW Health offers a competitive compensation and benefits package. Work experience that is relevant to the position will be taken into consideration when determining the starting base pay.

Sign-On Bonus:

This position is eligible for up to a $2,000 sign-on bonus (pro-rated on FTE/Hours).
