Division Operations Coordinator

State of Wisconsin Madison, WI
This position is independently responsible for planning, developing, implementing and evaluating policies, procedures and activities designed to promote Division-wide objectives related to the Divisions position control operations. Responsibilities include all phases of position control to include: policy and procedure development, coordinating position authority per the current biennial budget levels, overseeing personnel movements including reorganizations, realignments, hiring and coordinating the divisions Cost Allocation Plan.

Due to the nature of this position, all applicants who may be appointed will be required to allow the DHS to conduct a background check to determine whether the circumstances of any conviction may be related to the job being filled.


Minimally qualified candidates will have:

Experience coordinating the collection of statistical data using Excel or similar tools.

Experience with process improvement based on data.

Ability to exercise independent judgment and self-directed action.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

In addition, well-qualified candidates will have:

Experience developing internal policies or procedures impacting an organizations operations.

Experience with personnel related activities such as position control.

Experience identifying a problem(s) and recommending a solution(s).

Ability to organize, multi-task and prioritize workload demands.
