DESCRIPTION

Sets up serving lines with foods according to menus. Ensure hot and cold food is maintained at correct temperatures levels. Ensures all food on trays to residents are in accordance with Physician's orders to ensure optimum customer satisfaction. Tags all out going trays with resident's name, diet, etc. Transports food carts to units and returns them to the kitchen. Cleans serving lines, including placing left-over food in containers and placing in refrigerator. Performs general cleaning duties, washes dishes, pots and pans, Cleans food carts and other equipment according to manufacturer's instructions. Washes glasses, cups, plates and silverware. Takes out garbage and trash to appropriate area, the ability to lift and carry 50 pounds. Assembles and disassembles dish machine and pot washer, vegetable peeler, food chopper, meat grinder and cleans all machines. Reports malfunctions to the supervisor.

Assists cooks by cleaning and preparing raw food following a cook's directions. Prepares salads and other cold items. Dishes up salads and other cold items for serving. Bags bread, wraps silverware.

Attends state mandated in-service training as required.

Performs other related duties as required.

REQUIREMENTS

Must pass all back-ground screening as required by the State of Florida

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Delivering food carts possibly in inclement weather

Cleaning equipment according to manufacturer’s instructions, reports malfunctions

Cleaning of kitchen, walls, floors, windows, ceilings, chairs, tables, doors, etc.

Assist cooks as needed

Work in the dining rooms and tray line area serving individuals

Work in stock room as required

Dip food, serve food, bag bread, juice and other snacks daily

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES DEEMED ESSENTIAL TO THIS POSTION

Mandated classes such as MANDT, CPR, First Aide, Ability to use all dietary equipment, May be required to lift up to 50 pounds, must wear a safety belt at all times. Frequent pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, repetitive grasping, kneeling, twisting and climbing a ladder may be required as well as the ability to push or pull up to 100 pounds. Environment conditions: cold in the winter and how in the summer. Prolonged standing.
