SPECIAL CONDITIONS

  • Requires a flexible schedule with evening and weekend hours and occasional travel.
  • HumanKind requires all potential new hires to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, before their first scheduled day of work. Fully vaccinated according to the CDC means two weeks after receiving the final dose in the primary series (two shots of Moderna or Pfizer, OR one shot of Johnson & Johnson).

POSITION SYNOPSIS

The Treatment Foster Care Recruiter and Trainer is responsible for marketing the Treatment Foster Care program, and recruiting, screening and training prospective foster parents. He/she is supervised by the Director of Treatment Foster Care.

LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY:

This is an important professional position within the Treatment Foster Care program. The individual in the position of Treatment Foster Care Recruiter and Trainer will need to establish and maintain strong community relationships, effectively market the Treatment Foster Care program, possess a thorough knowledge of licensing standards, and assume responsibility for recruiting, screening and training prospective foster parents.

ILLUSTRATIVE TASKS:

  • Work with Director of Communications to develop marketing strategies.
  • Meet and develop community partner relationships.
  • Provide social media marketing for all TFC locations. Update company website and social media tools. Draft press and media releases.
  • Plan, coordinate and participate in marketing events. Prepare and execute online and direct marketing campaigns.
  • Design, order, and distribute marketing materials for all TFC locations.
  • Obtain and train a minimum of 13 families a year.
  • Evaluate effectiveness by conducting market research, monitoring competitive activity and market trends, and soliciting foster parent feedback.
  • Adhere to and uphold the rigorous standards of HumanKind policies as mandates by its mission, purpose, guiding principles and standards of quality.
  • Implements a variety of marketing, promotional and networking opportunities to effectively promote program and recruit foster parents.
  • Help assure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and guidelines.
  • Maintain statistics necessary to measure the effectiveness of various recruitment efforts.
  • Provide guidance to any staff, volunteers or interns assigned to assist in the delivery of training.
  • Attend Pressley Ridge Certification training and deliver its curriculum to foster parents in all TFC locations.
  • Document all foster parent contact.
  • Conform with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions.
  • Comply with various federal, state, and/or local laws that apply to and regulate the job responsibilities.
  • Display independence in working with families in various settings.
  • Participate in training, fundraising events and other agency activities.
  • Respond to all telephone calls, emails, or other forms of communication within 24 hours.
  • Inform Supervisor of incidents as required by state regulations and of concerns regarding compliance with regulations and licensing policy.
  • Responsible for understanding and following HumanKind Foster Family Agency protocol.
  • Attend all relevant program and agency meetings.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with all referral sources and community services.
  • Increase and maintain knowledge of foster care techniques, state policies and cultural competency through conferences, review of journals, books and clinical supervision.
  • Maintain ongoing understanding of all applicable licensing standards and needs for the TFC program.
  • All other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • One to three years of marketing experience preferred.
  • Past Treatment Foster Care or human services experience preferred.
  • Provide COVID-19 vaccination documentation.
  • Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record.
  • Complete all required background checks and pass drug test.
