The Resident Admissions Work Study Phone Agent (RAWSPA) will service every need of prospective students and their families through each step of the enrollment process. The RAWSPA will be fully focused on the completion of sales calls via tele-counseling using an outbound telephone call system.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Enrollment

* Contact prospective students on a daily basis through a variety of communication channels to follow-up with inquiries and applicants regarding their matriculation to Liberty University.

* 95% of each day is spent talking with students over the phone discussing the enrollment process.

* Counsel students on the process of applying to the university.

* Participate in university events throughout the calendar year such as College For A Weekend, Winterfest, Summer Orientation, and single day events.

* Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Problem Solving

* When tele-counseling prospective students, RAWSPAs are expected to overcome any enrollment objections presented.

* RAWSPAs are responsible for accessing student records and determining the best course of action students must take in order to secure their enrollment. Applying judgement in order to solve problems of both a routine and complex nature is expected.

Physical and Sensory Abilities

* Frequently required to sit for extended periods to perform desk work or type on a keyboard

* Regularly required to hear and speak in order to effectively communicate orally

* Occasionally required to travel around campus

* Occasionally required to stand, walk, and climb stairs to move about the building

* Handle materials, reach overhead, kneel or stoop in order to conduct business

* Regularly lift 10 or fewer pounds

Work Environment

The working environment in which one will typically perform the essential functions of this position is a climate-controlled call center office setting. Occasionally the work environment may shift to other on-campus destinations in order to serve prospective students. All work areas are well lit and the noise level is moderate to loud.

* Proficiency in sales and customer service

* Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to develop relationships and rapport with students and their families

* Excellent verbal and written communications skills

* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook

* Ability to adapt to change and a strong desire to work in a fast paced environment, the ability to multi-task

* Takes initiative, is highly motivated, and is detail oriented

* Organization, active listening, discernment, and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications

* Have attended Liberty University for at least one year

* Strong commitment to the mission of Liberty University

* Heavy concentration on phone sales skills

* Excellent verbal and written communications skills, attention to detail a must

* Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to develop relationships and rapport with students and their families

Work Hours

Monday through Friday, 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM (varies based on course schedule). Limited to 20 hours/week.
