As the Food & Beverage Manager at Shenandoah National Parks Skyland Resort, you will contribute to the growth and profitability of the busines, with management oversight for the day-to-day operations of exciting branded concepts in the main restaurant, bar and grab-n-go.

We are seeking candidates with a passion for guest service and quality food service that can demonstrate knowledge and experience in restaurant and foodservice management. Candidates with exceptional decision-making and leadership skills, integrity, high levels of energy and enthusiasm, that can build relationships and develop talent and manage performance within the organization, will be considered for this unique opportunity.

The Food & Beverage Manager will work closely with the Property General manager to ensure effective overall operations of Food & Beverage that includes a restaurant, bar and grab-n-go concession, they will also have the kitchen operations reporting to them through the Executive Chef.

This position is responsible for the management of all aspects of the assigned areas of Food and Beverage in accordance with Delaware Norths criteria and other priorities set forth by management.

  • Directs, implements and maintains a service and management philosophy that serves as a guide to respective associates. Facilitates special projects as directed by the GM. Serves as a resource to and provides solutions to, direct report supervisors and associates.
  • Responsible for all scheduling, training and development of F&B supervisors and associates. Maintains all DNC policy standards, culture of accountability and responsibility, and holds individuals accountable for such. Research and development of new policies, procedures, and control policies that elevate service standards and accountability of staff.
  • Handle guest relations and monitor adherence to quality assurance standards. Maintain physical condition of facilities in conjunction with DNC standards.
  • Order and maintain all inventories for area, maintain cost control efforts for labor and waste management and conduct meetings updating staff on daily goals and objectives. Menu planning and design in coordination with the Executive Chef.

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or related Hospitality Management or field experience preferred. Additional equivalent experience may substitute for educational experience.
