  • Share and build expertise in Restorative Justice approaches for support staff.
  • Oversee all student investigations.
  • Be a part of the Academic Leadership, the Safety Committee and serve as the School Safety Officer, and oversee Emergency Policies and Protocols.
  • Work collaboratively with counseling team, teachers and paraprofessionals.
  • Support excellent instruction in all grades and subject areas through regular observations, both announced and unannounced, and provide high quality, specific feedback.
  • Assist and support in the writing and preparation of all DESE required reports.
  • Prepare for site visits and charter renewal.
  • Supervise staff as assigned.
  • Support curriculum initiatives, including all subject areas, MCAS, Social Emotional Learning and Leadership roles for students.
  • Maintain and value active relationships with students and parents.
  • Assist the Principals in assigning coverage and duties before, during and after school; conduct daily walk-through to monitor schedules and lesson implementation; and oversee daily maintenance and safety of the building.
  • Assist in organizing and promoting the public relations and development program for the school.
  • Delegate authority to lead teachers and other supervised staff to assume responsibilities as the Assistant Principal may assign.
  • Conduct staff meetings as appropriate.
  • Serve as the acting Principal in their absence.
  • Perform other related duties as requested by the Executive Director or Principal.


  • Master's Degree in Ed. Administration
  • MA certification as Principal/Assistant Principal
  • SEI endorsed
  • Minimum 3 years' teaching experience
  • School Administrative experience preferred
  • Commitment to the goals and mission of LCCPS including high expectations for student achievement
  • Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively with others
  • Ability to motivate staff and students to high performance in all areas
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, organization and communication skills, both verbal and written, are a must.
